KEEL, the brand-new casegoods solution designed by Paul James, is all about balance. The key lies at the heart of the structure - what we call the keel: A simple, integral piece that offers extra strength and amazingly easy assembly. A variety of worksurfaces, storage units, and accessories connect to the keel, allowing each space—in an open plan or private office—to be tailored to the needs of different users and a range of workstyles. Wire management is also run through the keel for a simple, neat solution from one unit to the next. With KEEL you’re ready to sail - solo or as a crew!
- The keel panels come in five widths (from 4 to 8 feet). Base cabinets come in 3 widths with various storage options.
- Work SufTwo worksurface shapes are available -rectangular and 135-degree- in 24" or 30" depths and eight widths. They attach to the keel channel and use one of four support options to suit all applications.
- Privacy and modesty panels are available in three heights and eight widths to fit a variety work surface lengths and configurations.
- Attached vertical storage components can be tiered for finished heights of 49", 63" and 71". Vertical storage is available with open shelves, hinged or sliding doors, and as shared storage with access from both sides. Wall-mounted and free-standing storage are also available.
- Accessories like rail-mounted organizational tools and guest seat pads customize the look and function.
- All KEEL components accept and manage power and data cabling horizontally and vertically through cable managers and inlaid trays.
- Thin profile LED lighting is available in 6", 19" and 37" widths for installation below overhead storage.
- Freestanding storage and worksurfaces are designed to align with everything that’s attached to the keel, giving you even more flexibility.
- KEEL brings a palette of exciting new colors and finishes to ABCO. In addition to the options to choose from, we’ve developed three simple ways to apply color:
- Anchored: Straight-forward, simple and consistent, for a classic look.
- Cruising: Mixing it up with a bit more variety, by applying more than one color for visual interest.
- Surf’s Up: Going all out with adventurous combinations of up to three colors applied to various surfaces.
